How do you use CouchDB?

I use it in a work project as a backend for a SaaS platform that handles the parallelisation of scientific modelling software and the management of the associated data. This platform uses CouchDB views to manage workflow, shows to transform input data for the modelling software, and CouchApps for data input and results visualisations. It also uses BigCouch to provide a large clustered data store. I also use it outside of work for fun and (hopefully one day) profit, with a big focus on CouchApps and distributed data visualisation applications.

What tools/frameworks do you use with CouchDB?

d3.js, Backbone.js, jQuery, Python (with a custom CouchDB library), Kanso, CouchApp

Do you use other NoSQL tools?

Not for paid work, but when I get the chance I like to play with: - MongoDB - Riak - Hadoop

Are you interested in "big data" applications with CouchDB, or more normal web development?

Bristol-based software developer & data enthusiast.
