HUDDART PARK-KINGS MOUNTAIN

  • Huddart County Park

7.9 miles, about 1500 ft elevation gain. This is a great summer hike as it's shaded most of the way. We'll make a loop thru serene groves of redwoods, stopping for a break at the picnic table and log benches at McGarvey Flat.

DIRECTIONS: from 280, take the Woodside Rd/Highway 84 exit, to west towards Woodside. Turn right on Kings Mtn Rd, and go about 2 miles to the Huddart Park entrance. Pay ($6.00) at the kiosk, and park in the Zwierlein area.

A really enjoyable hike with Marcia and the group! Thanks for taking us on shaded trails, Marcia, it really made all the difference. Huddart is a great local park and I'm glad to be rediscovering it with friends. Grazie, Marcia!

Frank - It's the P&R off Camden and 85. Not Woodside. It should take us at least 30 mins to get there from SJ.

Are you coming to the Woodside P&R at all? I'm leaving from there at 8AM. There's no connection all for me at the other... I'm coming from the north; Belmont.
