Hiking Group Membership and Schedule

From: Dawn
Sent on: Monday, January 30, 2012 8:40 AM

Dear South Bay Ramblers,

We’ve temporarily closed off the South Bay Ramblers Hiking group to new membership as we’d like to keep the group small and all our hikes are filling up each week with big waiting lists.  To continue at this pace, we need to recruit more hike leaders so we can keep our schedule full and accommodate the growing demand for more of the types of hikes we like.

If you’ve been thinking of leading a hike for a while, we still have some available weekends on the schedule for February and March so please post your hikes at any time.  If you’re not set up as an organizer, please contact me so I can set you up to post and manage your hikes.  Leading us on just one hike per year will waive your membership dues.

Our preferred start time for local hikes is 8:30 a.m. and 9:00 a.m. for hikes where we have to commute to the trailhead.  Please review the hike leader guidelines at

If you’re enjoying the group and all the hikes and outings we organize, please continue to support us by keeping your membership current at the following link:

If you joined the group a while back, you may not have read our recently created hiking disclaimer at

Happy hiking and hope to see you soon!
