RSVP and Membership Policy
SCS offers social functions for single men and single women in the South Santa Clara County community and surronding areas to meet, mingle and connect with other single men and women. We encourage you to make suggestions, actively participate, and bring your single friends.
We ask our members to be considerate in terms of RSVP'ing for events and changing your RSVP when circumstances change. If you have ever been involved in planning a party or some type of function you realize it is a lot of work, so please be considerate of the organizers time.
Due to limitations imposed by venue size we may have to limit the number of attendees for each event. As our community of SCS members grows larger events may fill up quickly, and on many occasions a 'waiting list' may be needed for those who would like to attend an event that is already full.
Updating your RSVP in a timely matter frees up space for others who might otherwise find themselves stranded on the 'waiting list' on the day of the event. This is a simple matter of courtesy and good manners and takes 2 minutes of your time.
Records of 'no shows' are now being maintained at our events in addition to the central records maintained by Meet Up which Organizers are able to access. When a member 'no shows' an NS (NS1, NS2,or NS3 will be posted on their SCS profile).
SCS may occasionally hold No Show amnesty events. Members attending these events will have prior NS designations removed from their profile.
Members who RSVP 'Yes' for 4 events, but who do not turn up for those events will be removed from the SCS membership.
Please keep in mind changing your status at the last minute after the RSVP has closes is counted as a "no show." Each one of these will be looked at on a case by case basis.
Please don't let this happen. We really want you to attend the functions, and we know things happen.
PLEASE NOTE: TRAVEL COMPANIES, TOUR PROMOTIONS, OR ANY FORMS OF SOLICITATION ARE STRICKLY PROHIBITED
