I had a great time ... my first time there and I loved it. Like Nora said, it was really hot, but the photo ops were more than worth it. I really enjoyed meeting everyone and look forward to next week at Flamingo Park. I'm really enjoying the shots everyone is posting.

My first timer there and I really enjoyed it as well as meeting all of you. It definitely was hot, but the photo ops more than made up for our charming weather.

I had fun and took lots of pictures. It was really hot, though.

It sure was. I've about had enough of summer, as I'm sure we all have by now. It was really nice to meet you Nora.

I had a great time, but haven't had a chance to look at my pictures yet. Hopefully tonight.

Had a great time. Hope I didn't miss any of you. And hope those who attended had a great time as well, and got some great photos.

Looking forward to meeting you all tomorrow morning. If the weather is like it is now, I'll be a very happy girl (although it is a bit breezy for photography).

Just a couple of reminders. If we all meet right outside the gift shop entrance, I'll have some $6 off coupons for those who aren't members. Every little bit helps.

No tripods or monopods allowed in BW. It might be really warm, so I suggest you bring a small bottle of water. Not sure if it's actually permitted, but I always have one in my pocket.

And mostly, I'm looking forward to meeting you all, and to us having a great time. BW is a wonderful place and everyone should get some great photos.

Just a reminder that because it's a weekend, there is a $1.50 per person charge to enter the park. This is aside from the entrance fee for Butterfly World. And remember....... no tripods or monopods allowed on the premises of Butterfly World.

Now liet's hope this rain goes away!!

No prepay? It is okay to pay at the door?
    Looking forward, to this!

Kathleen, you do pay at the door (in the gift shop). I will have some $6 off coupons with me for those who need them.

Posted this a few days ago on the discussion thread. Should have posted it here, although you all should have gotten an email from me:

I just received an email from Butterfly World that contained a coupon for $6.00 off the regular admission fee. Each coupon is good for six people.
I will meet you right in front of the gift shop/entrance so if you are in need of a coupon, I will be able to give it to you at that time. I figure we'll just all get together at the same place/time (please be on time) and everyone can enter at the same time so as to take advantage of the coupon.
Looking forward to a fun time!!

    :) Anne

I totally misread that as $6.00 admission to Butterfly World! Oh, the amusement and frustration of being dyslexic. :-P

It would be nice though, wouldn't it? I have a membership, but otherwise, I sure couldn't afford to go there too often.

Just a heads up...... Butterfly world does not allow tripods or monopods, so if you have stabilized lenses/cameras, that would be your best bet.

Shawn, I just changed the date to the following Saturday if that works better for you. Our newest member (my friend Kim) works weekends, but she's off on the 21st, and since she's willing to drive over from the west coast, I wanted to accomodate her (and hopefully, you too)

I'd love to go back there, but I'm shooting an event up in Palm Bay that day. :(

Here's a link for a $3.00 discount coupon. As a bonus (for anyone interested in staying later), there's a butterfly garden workshop scheduled for 1 p.m.

    http://www.butterflyworld.com/discount.html

Or, if it makes things easier, I can print out the coupons for you and give them to you right inside the main gate.
