In Palm Beach County, U.S. Rep. Robert Wexler, D-Boca Raton, has scheduled a town hall meeting on health care for Aug. 20 at 1 p.m. at the South County Civic Center west of Delray Beach.

Rosalie KardanThe meeting itself was skewed with pro-obama supporters, which was disappointing because it was NOT a fair and balanced meeting. Other than that outside there were maybe over a thousand protesters with some very clever signs.It was outrageous to see bus loads of "Acorn" organizers dropped off in the parking lot with their printed signs and obama t-shirts. they were paid $15.00/hr to attend. they were rowdy at times crass and disguwsting to watch. they also brought a hi-school band that played loud music to drown us out! talk about sneaky, sly tactics! There were debates going on, mostly to no avail. Ed.Lynch was there and he was wonderful. He took questions, listened patiently to people and answered us all. Very professional and well informed! He is someone we need to stand behind, because he is 100% for us. There were many different issues on the signs, not only healthcare. I think a sleeping giant has been awakened......

Charles GatesI wanted to inter 2000. That was the total number of attendees. 200 is the estimated number of our protesters. Alcie Hastings decided to make an appearance in support of Wexler. He brought along a Middle School Band in an attempt to drown out the protesters. Some Jewish groups were there to protest the Obama anti Israel stands. For the most part, the demonstrations were well received by
the crowd.

PeggyA great group of interesting,knowledgeable people. I object to the Band from Pompano which was bussed in. They drowned out our speakers and had obviously no idea what this rally was about. I did not see any rudeness or rowdyness--I was told that some people had tickets to attend Wexler's forum but were not allowed in and some from ACORN were allowed in.

I was there as well and actually got inside. I will be posting what was said by both Wexler and Hastings on Youtube. I just want to add some captions to it when I have time. When I get the videos up, I will post a link to them. It was just one big pep-rally on the inside. You will see that both criminals were comfortable in their surroundings.
