RE: [JBSSouthJersey] Occupation Philadelphia

I stopped up to this area last week on my way home via Patco High Speed line as I walk right by the steps going up to the “occupied” area. Hung around for about 20 minutes. Kinda boring to be honest. Ran into a number of leftists. Only one table of literature at the time which had a book “What Karl Marx Really Meant” and a few others like that. Anti-capitalist signs and banners. “Foreclose capitalism not homes” or something like that. The whole thing seemed kind of disorganized and silly and I wonder what they really expect to accomplish.

The police were out in full force a few blocks back. I counted over 30 police cars, 2 vans, one gated flat bed truck, 3 or 4 motorcycles, the dudes had “Strike Force” on their shirts. Seemed like they are ready to pounce. Personally, I would advise staying away as I wouldn’t want to get caught up in this mix and get painted with a leftist brush or potentially get my skull cracked if some agent provocateurs agitate to provide the police with a reason to use force.

Took a picture attached above which shows a line of white police cars parked around Logan Circle. The “Strike Force” was on the side walk and the flat bed is on the right across the street. Nice overtime that the city budget is covering I guess. Amazing how we have 12 to 20 million coming across our borders illegally with little real resistance but heaven’s forbid you bring up the Fed, Banks or Wall Street. Then all hell is ready to be leveled.

well I've had a table set up handing out flyers for a few days and organized a End he Fed talk with they're education . committee---I had a great fun time doing it, I did meet 2 very negative people one of which stop-ed us from giving the Fed talk--I must say I'm going back a lot of people what to hear--the communists and socialists have a agenda to keep the Occupy movement  only about capitalism For me I'm going back again and again because once enough people get it the Communist agenda will lose they're support

Paul's right. It's called the fatal conceit. Friedrich Hayek discussed it in many of his writings. I highly recommend The Road to Serfdom for those who have not already read it.

Thanks for the tip! Like all communists/socialists, they want someting (what most people work for) for nothing (a free hand out off someone else's effort). They don't care about other countries failed communist/socialist policies - it wasn't done by THEM, and THEY KNOW HOW TO DO IT RIGHT. It's the perfect definition of obsession - always doing the same failed policies over and over again, but expecting successful results!

So dumb, so incredibly dumb!

What do you expect from collectivists? Some of the are well meaning people but can't read history to know socialism has never and will never work.

Thanks for that info, Joe.

I'm hearing them scream pretty much constantly now from my building at 16th + Market. A lot of angst and venom in whoever's screaming now!. At some point I'm sure her voice will give out, speaker or no.

Thanks for the info and informing us what's happening there on the ground.  I've heard the sheeple are more moldable in nyc and the message is gaining traction there.

Last night I went up to City Hall in Philadelphia to see if I could educate people about the Federal Reserve being the culprit and the center of just about everything.  I was very surprised to see the kind of people that I saw up there.

I know there have been some libertarian minded and anti-Fed people, but I didn't see any and  when I went there it was filled with tons of openly admitted communists.  There were a lot of people with Che Guevara, Karl Marx, and other communist figures on t-shirts they were wearing.  There was even people holding up quotes from communists and socialists. Also in the crowd were national socialists of both white and black races.

Although there were a few nice people that I met that were neutral political wise, I caught a lot of heat from these communists who were shouting things at me because of my End The Fed t-shirt.  I had a group of 5 people that were trying to argue with me, and I left in a haste to avoid any trouble.  As we all know, communists have violent tendencies and it wouldn't be safe for me to stay because they outnumbered us.

This is not a spot that we want to be at.  It is dangerous and I don't think we should be associated with this at all because of the Marxists.  I am sending this out through the mailing list because I believe this should get out to people as soon as possible to avoid any attendance there.
