With the United Nations Global Warming Climate Change Treaty looming in December 2009. It is time to let our President and Senators know that signing such a treaty will be our country's death knell. Once our sovereignty is ceded to the United Nations we will never get it back again. Our freedom's will be lost forever by the incremental passage of laws that will limit our activities deemed detrimental to the planet. Pandora's box will be opened and our status as the beacon of hope for the rest of the world will be extinguished.

Things are happening very rapidly now. The elitists want to get us past the point of no return so that exposing them will no longer matter. Its time to go that extra mile and tell everyone who will listen.

The Minnesota Free Market Institute hosted an event at Bethel University in St. Paul on Oct. 14, 2009. Keynote speaker was Lord Christopher Monckton, former science adviser to British Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher.

Lord Monckton was scheduled to speak to Congress in March of this year, but after arriving in Washington, was blocked by President Obama.

HEAR Lord Monckton speak.

Article II, Section 2 (2nd para) on Presidential powers:

"He shall have power, by and with the advice and consent of the Senate, to make treaties, provided two-thirds of the Senators present concur; ..."

Hate to speculate, but the December timing is curious; could it be another sneak passage like the federal reserve act while enough of the senators are on Christmas break? And could this "agreement" be marketed as a non-treaty?

Point is, we can't take chances with our freedom. We have to act on this, and soon.

"But a Constitution of Government once changed from Freedom, can never be restored. Liberty, once lost, is lost forever."
John Adams, letter to Abigail Adams, July 17, 1775 John Adams

Although the Copenhagen Treaty is definitely a real threat to our national sovereignty and personal freedom, it is important to note that Lord Monckton is wrong when he says that “if that treaty is signed, your Constitution says that it takes precedence over your Constitution.”

The Tide is Changing on Global Warming

The comprehensive climate change treaty that for years has been the goal of the Copenhagen conference was now an “unrealistic” prospect, Yvo de Boer, the UN official guiding the process, said last week.

Only 57 per cent of Americans believe that there is strong evidence that the world has grown warmer in recent decades, down from 71 per cent a year ago, according to a new poll.
