The battle has only begun! This was their first open attack on this bill. Mel Watt, the Banking Sub-committee chairman, has gutted the bill. He removed all language in the bill that makes HR 1207 powerless. Ron Paul is submitting an amendment to HR 1207 in order to restore the original language.

What can you do to help?

Contact everyone on that subcommittee especially ADLER and kindly request them to support Ron Paul's amendment to HR1207 in order to restore the original language. Remind them that Mel Watt has made this bill utterly useless and that a true meaningful audit cannot be done until the original language is restored in HR 1207.
