Come spend your Sunday afternoons jamming in Wilderness Park with some fellow acoustic enthusiasts! The Wilderness Park has treated us pretty well for this meetup. There are plenty of tables and open areas to sit at. We try to set up camp pretty close to the entrance of the park, so you shouldn't have to look too hard to find us.
The park closes at 4:30, so we usually play from about 1:00 to 4:00 and then we start winding down.
WHAT TO BRING: My recommendation is to bring one (or more!) particular song that you're working on at the moment, and to bring 4 or 5 copies for the group to share. We try to take turns helping each other out with their song and sticking with it until we get it RIGHT! Or if it's too difficult, we just try it a few times and move on. Whichever comes first :) When you RSVP, if you know what song you are bringing, please say what it is when you RSVP so that the group knows. Also, you can check out the Files section in the group for the latest version of the songbook and print your own copies if you like. (go to the "More" tab at the top of the page, then "Files"
WHO SHOULD COME: All skill levels are welcome. If you don't have anything in particular that you're working on, you are still more than welcome to come along and hang out or help others. We can always use extra singers/players! If you have any questions or if I missed anything, please let me know. This is a practice session. If you are a beginner and don't feel like you can keep up with the group to play a song, come anyway! It's great practice, fun, and you'll learn a lot! Besdies, we almost always play a few easy 3 chord songs :)
Looking forward to seeing everyone there! Thanks!

The Southbay Acoustic Musicians of Redondo Beach, CA are both experienced and novice musicians who like to get together and play for fun. It doesn't matter if you are a serious professional or if you are just learning to play an instrument. The Southbay Acoustic Musicians welcome all that can be respectful to each other. Vocalists and those who play brass, woodwinds, bongos, drums are also welcome.
JOIN OUR GROUP IF YOU WANT TO LEARN HOW TO PLAY GUITAR TOO
Even if you don't know how to play an instrument but you want to learn, join our group! We host a variety of meetups including those dedicated to teach people how play guitar, bass, piano and other instruments. We currently offer piano lessons and vocal lessons and vocal coaching as well. We will help get you on your way to becoming a more confident jammer.
Also, you don't have to be a performer to join our group. You can just come and watch us perform at any number of Southbay public parks and coffeeshops. There are an abundance of parks and outdoor beach areas in Southbay Los Angeles and we will take advantage of these free public places to meet. You will see us playing around bonfires, in parks, on piers especially as it warms up in the spring and summer.
As our group develops some of us may perform at local clubs or charity events. Our group will help them get into clubs, and the rest of us get discounts to watch them perform.

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
