Transition San Jose - Open Discussion Group

I'll be heading over to the church around 6 pm to do what work I can (in the dark!). Probably just laying down weed cloth and maybe hauling a few wheelbarrow loads of mulch. If you feel like showing up early to join me, that would be awesome!

Meet with others to discuss how San Jose might be transformed and become more resilient through the Transition Town model and what we can do at the ground level to connect with each other, with local businesses and city government to create an abundant, prosperous, self-sustaining, and beautiful city

Permies - just an SJ logistic thought - central is good. I'm coming from the east-side (Clayton Rd). It can be 45 min. drive across town to the church. Anything we can do to moderate that impact would be good. I'm not familiar enough with the group's location/geographic spread to know what's "central". Permie ride-shares. Rotating may also be a good web-builder (mi casa su casa)...

Ed Pope has a good point! I too live across the valley from the church. It is Good to ride share whenever possible. Maybe we could use the msg board to post our zip codes so we can coordinate with one another? Since ecology is the intention of this group, Right?

Excellent point Ed. Right now it seems like everyone is spread out all over the map, so at this point in time it is hard nut to crack.

We just grab a coffee and speak French. Some people have been coming every week for months... it creates a kind of warmth to the group.
