Windows 2012 R2 Study Group

  • January 16, 2014 · 6:30 PM

The first installment of early experts in Windows Server 2012 R2 will begin on October 17th at 6:30pm. Mark your calendars now! We will begin meeting online each third Thursday of every month.

Meeting details and URL will be posted as an update to this meeting a day or two prior.

To get ready for the meeting you should get your Server 2012 R2 lab ready:

Do It: Build Your Lab using Boot-to-VHD

Alternatively, if you don’t have access to any PC hardware, you can also build your lab online using our FREE Windows Azure trial program:

Do It: Build Your Server Lab in the Clouds

Also be sure to have read Chapter 1 - Cloud OS in the FREE eBook that I posted last week. If you haven't downloaded yours yet look in the discussions section of this Meetup group for the information on how to get yours.

Hello - i had hoped to attend for the first time tonight, since i'd been a long time follower over the last 4 months, but since the meetings were on thursdays, it didn't fit with the schedule i had at the time. Now that my nightclass that i was taking is complete, i normally have thu nights free, but now i found out i have to get up for work again at 12:30am and head into the office at 2am for early morning maintenance.

I look forward to whatever the group has planned for conversation and discussion, and since i'm right in the middle of a Server 2012 R2 + System Center 2012 R2 deployment of the Microsoft Private Cloud running on Hyper-V, i may be able to contribute some topics for discussion and answer any questions others may have.

I don't have a formal presentation yet, but i'll be building up the first draf of a failure cause & effect test plan that we will be putting the environment through, and plan to have that complete by monday, so there are fun times ahead here.

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
