Shelters everything from tarps to natural materials

Come on out and let's build some shelters! We will go over many types of shelters from emergency shelters to more permanent structures we will be using the back acre of my property where we will find a ton of fallen trees and vines (there is no shortage there) also using
my garage again for any classroom time there is a wood stove in the garage so it does stay warm but do dress for the weather (layers, layers, layers)

my plans would be to make a debris hut and lean too also shelters that you can carry with you. I'll supply all the material needed.

What you need to bring: a fixed blade knife full tang, sturdy shoes or boots snacks and water.

Email or call me if you need directions a few days prior to the meet up but mostly any GPS will bring you right here. If you get lost please call me i'll walk you through getting here. Parking ... depending on how many folks are coming parking is an issue and if we fill up parking will be at the top of the lane in the circle please DO NOT block any driveways or park on the grass.

Questions???? email me or give me a ring[masked]

Thanks all and hope to see you there!

though we had low turnout, probably due to weather, it was a good time to tramp out back and review the process of providing a debris shelter for one's self. and to remember the time involved in creating that shelter.

It is unfortunate that I couldn't make it. I think today would be an excellent day due to the uncomfortable weather outside.
I am comfortable not giving everybody a mandatory three days off work though. This viral syndrome going around sucked. A nurse friend of mine from Mark suggested that maybe I could teach a basic field applicable first-aid type course. You know basic stuff bandages field expedient splinting and extracting et cetera. What are you guys think?

Brian, I will need to leave around 1 but I will be up in your area early. Do you need help getting things ready for the meetup, especially with the snow? Let me know. If not I'll be there by 11.

Wouldn't you know it? I got roped into working all day Saturday. I'm just curious though, since I live so far away, (Williamsport, PA) will there be upcoming overnight camps or two day events that might be planned a little while in advance? Also, my daughter Cassie, (the one in the wedding dress in the picture) may want to come to future events as well if allowable. She is also very interested and would love to come when her work schedule allows.
