Let's find some water, We will go over different types of stills like the solar still, transpiration bags ETC.

How to collect water and filter and purify it using a host of methods from commercial water filters to filters you can make from things found in nature.  making the dirtiest of water potable.

please bring with you any supplies you may have to purify water (water filters, water tablets ETC) a full tang knife, a pair of old cotton socks or old cotton material, water and snacks.

Also any water filters you may have so we can exchange notes on the different types of filters available on the market today

I believe this is a very important skill to know since we can only live 3 days without water so come on out and let's learn and share!

Very worthwhile; being able to find/obtain water and make water drinkable is one of the most important skills to have if you have any interest in wilderness survival. Brian did a great job!

    Rule of 3 ....
    3 days without water....

Was cool to see the expedient filter actually take out about 50% of the caramel color from Dr. Pepper. Good to see friends again!

My dad and I had a wonderful time! Afterwards, we had a great time discussing everything we had learned. It was great learning hands on how to make filter, and it worked great. Thank you so much! Another winner experience!

This Saturday turned into a big work day at my house. I really wanted to come to this meetup! I've been wanting to come to the water meetup the last several times it's been held but something always comes up! Maybe we'll be done early enough at my house and I could still make it? I guess it depends how late it goes.

Sadly, I'm going to have to cancel as well. Because I'm a moron and overslept, I missed an appointment last Saturday that's now been rescheduled for this Saturday (another reason sleep is EVIL!).

So bummed. I usually start work at 5, this Saturday I am starting at 11. I have to run the event at White's Harley Davison. Have fun everyone! Xo

    Brian,
I really wanted to make this one but my mower repairman needs that afternoon to look at the equipment and I need to be there. Look forward to next time. Hope you have a great week!

I'll bring my Alihn condenser to show. I don't have the other lab stuff available to set it up though.

I wish this was a part of "formal" education.....they should have taught this stuff in grade school----right after social studies/history class. They could have segued perfectly right into bushcraft/survival and why humans should always know these things.

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
