Most outdoors activities I do. Hunting all of the eastern game land species, fishing, trapping, etc. From mountain biking, canoeing, hiking, camping, climbing, off roading trucks, atv's, and dirtbikes, adventure riding, and more. Bushcraft, survival, homesteading, and the sort all blend together at a certain point, or lead into each other. Glad to have found this group where it all can be covered at an event. I try to give any help and info I have, but love to learn more from the other experienced members in the group!
I've been around. Grew up fishing and hunting, and listening to trapping stories of my father. Started in cub scouts, and made it to Life scout. While in scouts I joined the Order of the Arrow, a "secret" group with in the scouts, where we were introduced to survival in a real sense. A few years after graduating Highschool, I joined the Army Infantry, then became an Associator, as part of the 28ID, specifically, the 111th, which is the remnants of Ben Franklin's Associators, and the current 56th Stryker Batt. I then became a tanker (19K), and driver on the Abrams tank and Stryker variants. My training is always ongoing:) With my extensive experience in the outdoors, I started my own outdoors supply and gear company. We retail at Green Dragon market on Friday's, have an online store, and we post blogs of gear reviews and tests, tips and tricks, and more. I use my past experiences and expertise to truly evaluate gear-if we find a piece of gear sucks, it never makes it to our store.
Hunting, trapping, fishing, Cub scouts, boy scouts, Order of the Arrow, Army Infantry and Armor, Hiking, back packing, biodiesel and Veg oil production, Solar heating, photovoltaic construction, small scale poultry raising, gardening and farming.
Having fun, learning and sharing, I thoroughly enjoyed myself and the company I share these good times with.
