50 YEAR TRAIL/CHUTES/MIDDLE GATE

We'll plan to ride the 50 Year Trail from Golder Ranch trailhead, do the Chutes, then return by way of Middle gate.  Fun trail with plenty of challenges.  The beginning of 50 Year and the Chutes is suitable for most riders.  Middle Gate is a bit more technical with more climbing and some hike-a-bike.  This is about a three hour ride.

Meet at the parking area at the end of Golder Ranch Rd at 830 am.

For those who want a bit more riding, meet at the Chase Bank parking lot across from Catalina State Park, ready to ride at 730.  We'll start there and ride the 50 Year from Catalina State Park, meeting the group at Golder Ranch Rd.   Bring $$ to pay park fee.

Well, this is a really big group! I'm hoping to start at Chase Bank early. Then we'll all meet at Golder Ranch trail head. We'll probably want to break up the group into faster and slower groups so everyone can enjoy the ride and we don't lose anyone!

I planned on going from GR. I'm only conditioned for food and beer. And maybe about 2 hours of pedaling.

Of course! if we hit the upper 50. It's actually really close to the middle gate connector/wash area so we could back track a lil to see it? Jim, I chickened out last time on my, at the time, new XC rig. It's scary. Having a large travel makes it seem like a pebble.
