The ride was great, the people were friendly. The hills were tougher than I thought, but I made it. I will definitely ride again.

I enjoyed the ride today. You couldn't have asked for better weather and there was a,good turn out. Taking 3 months off from riding though, WOW, there were parts I thought I was going to die on .....especially the new section. That was one big hill coming and going! Oh well, it was still a blast and I enjoyed meeting everyone.

We are stuck at the DMV and probably won't be able to get our bikes and get to the start on time. I am looking forward to the next one!

I'm looking forward to the ride today. It's a fun ride. I hope that there are some slow pokes today though as I haven't ridden in 3 months :(. Its Been too cold or too busy for me.

It is a good idea to carry the following on this ride: 1) Phone; 2) water; 3) a snack bar; 4) a spare tube; 5) something to inflate the tube with.

    WEAR A HELMET.

Water & bathrooms are available at the 11 & 15 mile points.

My phone number is:[masked]--put it into your cell phone. It might be handy if you have trouble finding the starting point or if you have difficulty on the ride and we are spread out.

    See everyone at 1 PM.

You'll definitely like this ride. It has some hills but only 1 sorta big one that I can think of. It's mainly just a good training ride.

I have not ridden in 2 months due to too cold for me. If it warms up I will be there.

At one time in my life I was a cyclist and know it can ruin your ride if you have to continually wait on a lagging rider. I do not want that to happen.
I have started to ride after a 23 year layoff and now being 69 yrs old with afib I am not what I used to be.
I am riding 20 mi rides now at a + or - 13 mph pace depending on how I feel.
Afib cuts my VO2 down about 25-30% so climbing is done in pretty small gears.
You mentioned a 11mph pace, is that realistic, or are you going to be pushing much harder than that?
    Please answer honestly.
    Thanks,
    Jim

Come ride, we can get spread out at times, but we re-bunch at intervals, some natural & some decided upon at the moment. Its a trail, you won't get lost. Last Sunday, four of us rode the Mtn., two of us finished at just over a 13 mph pace & the other two finished at about 10.5 mph pace. Come, the weather is suppose to be nice.

    Maybe, road bikes?

Except for about 10 meters, it is all paved path. Slick tires, regardless of the frame, are best.

Sorry, I can't. I will be out of town and work M-F
