Full Southern Bicycle League Members get a $10 discount on the ride.

Come to the City of Hampton 30 miles south of Atlanta, GA to ride on a crisp fall, maybe early winter morning! New Belgium will sponsor the after-ride party. Mileage options include 73, 51 and 33 as well as a short Family Fun Ride. All routes pass by beautiful historic homes and old oaks and confederate cemeteries. The city of Hampton welcomes all cyclists to visit Nash Farm Battlefield, a historic landscape that hasn't changed much since August 20, 1864.

The SBL bike ride will depart at 9AM from the train depot right in central downtown. Santa Claus is stopping by to greet cyclists and all are encouraged to fill up his goody bag with new toys. The beneficiary of the ride is Praying For Paws Inc. an organization dedicated to rescuing homeless dogs. Their cookbook, filled with southern recipes, will be on sale throughout the day.

SBL's holiday swap meet kicked-off at this ride last year will be held at the depot as well. Bike shops, clubs and individuals can participate by signing up for a $25 bring-your-own table deal. The bike shops will unload last year's gear, while clubs and individuals can swap out what you traded up from this year, or sell that notorious unused gear from last year’s Santa visit.

Of course like last year we will serve New Belgium's beer and Just Dogs will be grilling up their famous frankfurters including bratwurst, kielbasa, and Italian sausage-all on soft fresh buns-their dogs are the best of the best and toppings top out at two-dozen (veggie dogs are available too)!

The Town of Brooks will host the main rest stop, homemade cookies and holiday goodies will be served in the town of Concord. The Concord Café will be preparing their famous chicken salad sandwich---quite scrumptious---so those of you cycling the 73-mile route will get to taste Linda's famous sandwich. Concord Café's unique gift shop will also be open during the Hampton Ride and an array of locally handcrafted holiday gifts will be on display.

"Mileage options include 73, 51 and 33 as well as a short Family Fun Ride" - There's nothing more than short Family Fun and less than 33 miles?

This is a great ride, as long as weather cooperates!! I did the 73 (REALLY 75, Walt!) last year and was challenging. Pedenville Rd is a grinder!

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
