**High Tea at the Mission Inn (951) 784-0300**

  • This location is shown only to members

The Mission Inn Hotel & Spa Riverside California's National Historic Landmark is beautiful this time of year with the entire place covered with lights/Holiday decorations.  Come enjoy the holidays with the group and enjoy some afternoon tea.  I chose the least expensive tea on the menu without alcohol.  If someone wants a cocktail/wine this is available for purchase in addition to the tea price.  For those interested we will also have an optional $15 Gift Exchange (Please bring a "tea" related item!)

Where magnificent grand vistas harbor countless intimate hidden treasures. And where the outside world is left behind, setting a grand stage for memories that will last a lifetime.

For over a century, world leaders and Hollywood stars have chosen The Mission Inn Hotel & Spa in Riverside, CA as a place of refuge and renewal. Originally built as a two-story adobe guesthouse in 1876, the Inn has become the crown jewel of Inland Southern California, occupying an entire city block.

We will be at the "Mission Inn Restaurant" within the complex.  The High Tea features Kelly's Tea offerings, served with savory selections and an assortment of delicious & dainty sweets.

They are extremely strict about cancelations so if you are going to book please be aware they will not give the money back.  I have a starting number of 10 to start with then I will open up to more as people RSVP since once I book a number I have to pay (they have my credit card to reserve and charge it right away).   I like this hotel as I was there for another event for business and it is beautiful.  There is also a spa in the hotel.  The actual Tea selections look wonderful! (It's all about the tea at this place!)

For those interested we will also have an optional $15 Gift Exchange (Please bring a "tea" related item!)

Tea Selection as follows:

1) Lemon Soué - Fine White Tea* White tea leaves with tart juicy lemons

and just the right amount of vanilla

and caramel essence.

2) Organic Jasmine - Fine Green Tea*

Delicate Green Tea buds, pleasantly mingled

with Jasmine blossoms, hand picked under

the light of the moon.

3) Tuscan Garden

Fine Herbal Tea**

A beautiful tea that sparkles in the cup.

From the gardens of wine country, this tea

mingles grapes and black currants with

apple, orange and lemon bits, lavender

flowers, sunflowers and rose petals.

4) Organic Green Passion Fine Green Tea*

Pure Japanese Sencha with a touch of the

tropics. Exotic passion fruit essence and

natural ginseng root yields an energizing

cup with crisp, clean flavors and a

wonderfully aromatic scent.

5) Earl Grey with Lavender

Classic blend of fine black teas, gains

complexity and character from the clean,

lightly floral flavor of lavender and scented

with citrusy natural Italian oil of bergamont.

(available caffeinated or caffeine free)

6) Ginger Peach - Fine Black Tea*

Sweet southern peaches and a hint of ginger make

this tea an all American favorite. Wonderful to

sip while relaxing on a front porch swing.

I have not been able to get a message thru to our orgaizer regarding getting $$ back for the Mission Inn Tea. Seems Marranne does not accept emails thru the organizer email link. Can anyone assist. Not sure if anyone else has this problem. Trying to email Monica too and not sure I have her right email address. I got an error message from meetup that there is a special way to send emails. Hope to hear back from someone. Thanks, Lisa McBride, [masked]

Great food, tea was excellent! Large sandwiches and frosted scones, delicious desserts! Plenty of food and great company. Enjoyed walking around the shops on main street and hotel afterwards. There was even fake snow from the decorations. It is not too late to go - lights are up through January 4th. Well worth the drive there.

All spots taken again. They are really strict about the number 12. I am sorry they won't allow more people as there are others that would like to go. As of today we are booked solid again.

Yes she received your check so you are now going in her place. We did it this way to prevent Luz from losing her Paypal fees which happens if I refund money

Hi Maryanne, I just went on my email and had received an email from Luz. Definitely want to go and I am going to call her right now since she sent it to me on Sunday and I only just now picked it up - I want to be sure it is still available. If it is, I will send her my check ASAP. Thank you so much. Hope to see you on the 14th. Candee
