Sadly very few! It's been hard to find friends who shared the interest and then several went out of business in recent years. I believe one is Rose Cottage - it's in Pasadena off Lake next to what was Wild Oats perhaps is Whole Foods Market now. That was wonderful and I shared a lovely High Tea there with my mother during a holiday visit with me. The other place was the Peninsula Hotel in Beverly Hills. Quite a different experience - very modern, much sherry, and extremely glamourous settings. It was rather fun to see the comings and goings of several celebrities while eating my scones and sipping my tea. Oh yes, I also went to Elixir on Melrose. It was peaceful and interesting but not what I was looking for. The tea was a bit too earthy for me. I suppose I wanted the more of the European, Turkish or Middle Eastern tea experience with their rich color and pageantry. I'd certainly enjoy going back to either and I am keen to learn and experience other tea houses.
Hello, I am a huge fan of High Tea having learned of it from my mother as a girl, and then having the pleasure of experiencing a few in England and Scotland during my college years. It's been ages since I've gone to one. This sounds delightful!
