The SoCal Chrome Divas & Iron Ridin Dames, Inc invite you to their second annual Run 4 Hope Fundraiser benefiting Hope Gardens Family Center in Sylmar, California. Hope Gardens is a transitional living facility designed for women and children to get away from the dangerous streets of Skid Row. Through a comprehensive program, women and families can progress from homelessness toward independent living. This year it will be a blackjack run. 818-366-2628 We will leave from Granada Hills @ 9 am and make our way over to Simi Valley via Box Canyon. A stop at Iron Horse Leathers in Simi. Ride through Simi and into Moorpark, head over into Fillmoor via Balcom Cyn, into Ventura and up to Grant Park for a quick stop and look at the fantastic view, lunch in Carpinteria. About 85 miles one way. Box and Balcom are moderate difficulty canyons (steep and twisty). There will be a short freeway ride on the 101 between Ventura and Carpinteria. After lunch we can decide if there is time for more riding or time to head home.... Hope to see ya all there!!!

This ride will take us to the back hills between Ojai and Gorman. Lot's of lovely canyon roads so there will be little to no freeway riding on this. We plan to stop for brunch at either Deer Lodge or Eggs N' things in Ojai.

This is the 2nd annual West Valley Memorial Ride. Registration is 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., West Valley Community Police Station, 19020 Vanowen Street, Reseda, followed by escorted ride to Paramount Studios, Hollywood. Come join the Chrome Divas of Southern California for a week long trip to Keystone, Colorado for the 2009 AMA Women & Motorcycling conference. We will be renting a house for our stay there and we will be planning a lot of ride activities in addition to the conference itself. We plan to leave either 8/15 or 8/16. The trip will be 2-3 days up with 4 days there and 2-3 days back returning on 8/23 or 8/24. If you would like to attend, please contact one of the organizers so we can include you in our planning and lodging reservations.

This event is hosted by Ventura Harley-Davidson donating to Amazon Heart Thunder organization. The Amazon Heart Thunder organization supports breast cancer awarenes. Check in time is 9am and the ride departs from Ventura Harley at 10am. The there will be a nice ride, lunch speakers and prizes (event ride route will have freeway riding). Beautiful Ojai, Lake Casitas and Santa Barbara Mountains-- nice canyon riding, with no freeway riding there. Lunch and shopping in Solvang, with some Hwy 101 freeway riding home... This is a great ride but a long one. 244 miles round trip from Santa Clarita. High 80's through Fillmore, low 80's in Solvang and high 60's along coast, so plan accordingly.
