May Meeting. Wow. If you missed our May meeting, you missed a lot. (Sorry, Mike.) We very much appreciate the Association of Graduates of the United States Air Force Academy for allowing us to have our monthly meeting in their wonderful facility. The group shared technical, design and introductory Drupal information from Drupalcon 2010 in San Fransisco. Not quite as good as being there, but close.
June Meeting. We have several agenda items for our June meeting:
* What's going on at DrupalCamp Colorado? Besides previewing what you can expect at Drupalcamp Colorado (You're going, aren't you?), we will hopefully have opportunities for our group to help out in putting on the event on June 26 and 27.
* We have a plain vanilla Drupal site set up and available, thanks to Stephen. We will install modules, show our latest feature tricks, perhaps a little theming, and more. If you'd like to see some hands-on Drupal, here's a great opportunity! Monarch will also have some test sites up and available to play with.
* We are still living in the afterglow of DrupalCon 2010. Some of us who attended are interested in sharing some of their greatest hits from the conference.
Bring your burning Drupal questions and comments. That's what makes these meetings *so* valuable for everyone.
Venue/Day Change. We are continuing to rotate the days we meet so anyone with a conflict on a particular night can attend. Everyone so enjoyed the May venue, that we said that we would be flexible in our meeting date to come back in June. Many thanks to vordude for arranging this! Our June meeting will be on Tuesday, June 1.
We'll be on the Air Force Academy at Doolittle Hall. Map here: http://events.usafa.org/about-us.htm . Driving Directions Through the "South Gate" (North Academy Blvd) Here: http://bit.ly/aPgA60
On The Academy? Matt will submit a list to the guards. If you've given your name in your profile and are members of this meetup group or the g.d.o group you have no reason to worry. if you haven't, please e-mail [masked]
You will have to show ID to get on base and they may want to look in your trunk.
Things should work just fine, but if you get hassled, I can definitely give rides from the south gate please call Matt, 331-9573.

OK, got it. *Tuesday* June 1st at the Air Force Academy. I'll be there this time and will be happy to share the highlights of my experience at DrupalCon SF unless people are bored with hearing about it. I'm glad I get a second chance to visit the Academy meeting site.
(Rick: Btw, I tried to post this to the SCUG page on groups.drupal.org and just got the message"Your submission has triggered the spam filter". Looks like Mollom is screwed up.)
I'm thinking of compiling a How To for theming in D7. Matt's trying to convince me to present at drupal camp and I keep insisting he's crazy. But I figure could handle embarrassing myself in front of you all! Maybe for the July meetup? Would anyone be interested in this other than me?
Dani, I think the group would love to be your guinea pigs for a DrupalCamp Colorado presentation. Keep in mind that the deadline for session submittals is May 26th.
Haha! No no not this year! That's what Matt's pushing for, I'm thinking *maybe* next year. I'm not sure I'm qualified to give a presentation on this, but I figure at least with our little group I could share what little knowledge I gleaned from google :)
We're kicking around the Idea of a "pre meetup" hack fest. Come Early, (4:30 or 5?) Bring a problem you're working on, and we'll try to put our heads together and work on it. If nobody has a problem, we could look at some core issues.

Thoughts?
I loved the hack fest, we should do that more often! The one on one discussions helped me a ton. Thanks Matt :)
