Join Maria Jeness for a slide show and discussion about Maine's trailblazing Island Trail--the history, expansion, and future of one of our most treasured assets.
Maria is the Stewardship Manager at MITA. She spent every summer in midcoast Maine before making it her home. A graduate of Bates College, she spent time doing geology research in Iceland before working with a land trust coordinating stewardship and outreach programs. She is a Master Marine Sea Kayak Guide who works primarily in the Boothbay region but also around MDI, Stonington, and Muscongus Bay. A paddler at heart, Maria enjoys getting out on the water as much as possible in any sort of craft.
Join us at nearby Ricetta's where some of us meet before the meeting for a bite to eat around 5:30.
Lee Bumsted faithfully brings our library of books and DVDs to each meeting where members can sign them out.
