Come on out for a picnic gathering with NEW Freethinking Friends! This is event will be specifically designed for those who have never attended a meet up before. Never fear, oldies, you are also welcome! We will need your assistance to welcome new people and to help with activities. :) Our group is still relatively new, anyway, and we are all still getting to know one another. (We were founded the end of 2008.)

Bring your own food, utensils, plates, beverages, etc. and some to share if you feel so inclined.

We will try to get Shelter 3 reserved first, if not we will go to Shelter 4 or 5, in that order. (They're on a first come, first serve basis and don't require a rental fee...) We will have a BIG Meet Up sign to help you find the group. See the PDF map of Spring Lake Park to find the shelters.

Spring Lake Park has areas for volleyball, baseball, basketball, swimming, and also a playground. There are also a couple of geocaches in the park that we can go find. We'll eat lunch together, then we can all head out to the various activities. Picnics are also extremely family-friendly, so bring the whole clan.

Looking forward to seeing you there!

We found the COOLEST geocache right next to the pavilion after everyone left. We were wishing that we could have shown everyone, it was so fun!

Lol, Anoop! :) It's an invitation extended to those who may be trepidatious about attending their first meet up. Although so far it doesn't seem to be working so great... :)

This sounds like a blast! I'm so bummed I won't be able to make it. :( Hopefully next time!

    •  It was fun to meet some new people and also see some familiar faces.
    •  Nice small group that socialized well & shared funny stories.
    •  At the very least, we got to freak out the people at the birthday party. They came back in as soon as we left.
    •  I always have so much fun at our meetups and this was no exception. I love how much we *don't* talk about religion and just laugh about anything and everything. Great to see some new faces there!
