Monday is supposed to be beautiful! Who's up for a practice session at Hilton Park, say around 2pm? Or whatever time works best for those who can make it, its a fun picnic area!

We practiced the below songs, we need to whittle it down to a 30 minute set (10 songs) and then another 10 songs for the Jam-A-Long... I will make sure these are posted here under "files" so we can practice them all on Friday... Flowers on the Wall
    Blues Stay Away
    Ukulele Sue
    Sunny Afternoon
    Bad Moon Rising
    Rocky Top
    Bye Bye Love
In the Still of the Night
    I can see clearly
    Hello Mary Lou
    Swallowtail

These may work for the Jam session:
    Jambalaya
    on Moonlight Bay
    Five Foot Two
    This Land is Your Land
    You are My Sunshine
    Jamaica Farewell
    Side by Side
And these two (easy) from Steve Roy at the Press Room
    Imagine
    Bad Bad Leroy Brown

And Art has volunteered to teach those who want to learn, "10,000 ukuleles" and "Hit the Road Jack"

Many thanks to Alex for help to organize this, we are all going to try to be there to support her for the talent show!

One other thing regarding practice: You all are certainly welcome to come to my place in Eliot for today if you'd like to still hold it. I'm not far from Dover! Keep me posted on what you guys decide to do.

Hi guys, I hear that it's raining this morning, and the weather channel said it will be windy with scattered showers/thunder storms. I'm wondering if we might have to postpone practice or perhaps pick a different place and hold it in doors? Feel free to send an e-mail/comment if we have to reschedule or change the location. I'll check this page from time to time. Maybe by some miracle the weather will clear later. Let's hope so! Thanks so much guys.

By the way, let's bring our luau jam session packets if anybody still has them or can download them off of the website! The woman who runs the Kittery Block Party talent show said that we will have a chance to perform a set on stage and also invite others to bring their ukes and jam with us! Should be awesome! By the way, I will be playing the piano and singing in the talent show, and one of my students will sing along with a piano accompaniment track I recorded for her. Please come watch both of us that evening! It's from 7 to 9 PM at the Dance Hall in Kittery. Let's do this!

I'll try and make it there through the parade traffic, but if there are any clowns around, you can count me out.

I will see if I make it through the parade with the horse-drawn float, but for now it's a no. As always, have fun.
