Every Other Friday Jam or Lesson

We meet every other Friday in Brentwood.  We start with a jam, rehearsal, or combo of both.  Later we wrap up with a 30 or 40 minute open mike, where members perform for the group.  Suggestions and volunteers for leading the jams, lessons and open mike session are always welcome. Wether you are an old pro or total newbie there are smiles all around just for you.  See you soon!

It took way more effort and protesting at all levels to get this done. At least I didn't have to bother the attorney general again

Hi Alex... Art had Amber and me doing The Scarlet Tide by Elvis Costello and BFD by Don Henry. Do you have us on your schedule for Friday night?

  • Suzanne B.

Hi Alex, I would like to give the open mic a try this Friday night. I'll play "Ukulele Lady," if there are still openings. See you then, Suzanne

As a first time player, with SNHUG I will do an open mic session. The tune that I will be sharing will be one of my own. Just an instrumental. I will do my best to not get cold feet but it will definitely be a first experience.

Hi Art, Take a dip, body surf or ride a wave on a boogie board for me and have a great time. Enjoy your vacation an be a big hit with your ukulele at some bonfires and play a few songs for me also. I just grabbed these 2 songs of the internet so I hope the chords are in the right place. Some one told me a few years ago that this song is about the mountains in Hawaii that are shaped in a icon ( shape ), of the dragon, I forget what Island.

Looks like I will have to send the songs one at a time or I will send to you regular email.

1 - Puff The Magic Dragon

    2 Blue Hawaii

Enjoy yourself, Mike Snyder, 1:45 EDT

KAMAKA. What a visit to the factory here in Hawaii. Son and Grand Son of Samuel Kamaka gave presentation and tour. What stories and history. Great people. Great service on my long neck tenor. They evaluated, explained in detail and fixed within a couple of hours. Provided a excellent explanation for a slight buzz I had not even thought of. I've included a link to some pictures.

HELP!! Open Mic 09/05. I will be away and need someone to set up open mic for 9/5. I will attend that night but don't have time while on vacation to get things organized. I've got one act in place but we need four more to round out the evening. We need someone to contact membership for performers and a MC/Host for the evening. Is there anyone available to set up open mic for 09/05? Thanks, Art
