This year I will have the honor of co-organizing the 10 FOR 10 Benefit Concert - Wounded Warrior Project which will be held at Museum Village conveniently located at 1010 Route 17M, Monroe, NY 10950.

Although we are still in the beginning planning stages and I do not have many confirmed details available at this time, I know we are going to NEED VOLUNTEERS to make this event a success.  If you are interested in donating some of your time to either prepare for the event or on the day of the concert, please include the word “helper” in your RSVP.

Otherwise, please sign up and attend this outdoor concert to help raise money for such a worthy cause.  Bring all your friends – pray, dance, chant for a bright, sunny day!

Rain date:  Sunday, June 2, 2013.

Thanks to all in advance!   Will provide more information as it develops!

Notable quote:

As we express our gratitude, we must never forget that the highest appreciation is not to utter words, but to live by them.

Hi All - Looking forward to seeing everyone tomorrow - after you enter the gate, take a hard right hand turn, walk past 2 buildings on your right and SOCS will set up camp on the lawn across from the 3rd building. There are a couple of shade trees in this area and we'll be fairly close to the stage.

Dale - can you cover 10 - 12 as an EMT? pls............ maybe even arrive a bit earlier?

    May 30, 2013

Hi to all - Can someone take my 10-12 ? It may be tough for me to make it. Thanks Amy

    Will gladly help out.

    May 29, 2013

  • Carol A.

Angela - if you can get there a bit earlier, that will be great! If not there will be a few people available to cover early arrivals. We're trying to keep the gates closed to the public till 10. Bands will be arriving earlier.

    May 29, 2013

    • Angela

I'll be there at 9:30 AM

      May 29, 2013

  • Angela

Carol, Being on the first shift, is getting there at 10 AM OK or should we be there earlier?

    May 28, 2013

  • Carol A.

REMINDER TO ALL - no outside food, drink or coolers permitted @ MV. Food & non-alcoholic beverages can be purchased at the event. Brian's Backyard BBQ will be there!

    May 28, 2013

  • Carol A.

Hi Elyse - When you come to the gate ask for me and whoever is there should be able to point me out. We are pretty well covered at this time with volunteers but still may need a few "fill-in's" for different tasks. Come the event when it is convenient for you - I set up a spot on the green for the SOCS to sit together - will announce how to find us shortly. Thanks - Carol Ann

I have never worked with you or attended any other event, I would like to know what time I should be there and who I should see to be of the most use

    May 28, 2013

  • Elena

If you need help after 1:00 is good

    May 25, 2013

  • Carol A.

Forgot to mention - since the object of the game is to raise money for WWP, volunteers will be charged $10 at the gate also.

    May 25, 2013

    • Angela

      That's a good idea. It's such a worthwhile cause!

      May 25, 2013

  • Carol A.

Angela - $10 per person applies to children as well. There's too much going on @ the gate to be handing out receipts for tax purposes. I'm telling people that if they want to claim on their taxes, they should pay by check and then they have a receipt.

Make checks payable to: Wounded Warrior Project

    May 25, 2013

  • Angela

Carol, The cost is $10 per person. Does that include children?
Also, being that this is tax deductible, do we need to give each person a ticket or receipt when they pay?

Calling all HELPERS ……………… We need 20 EMT’s (Entry Money Takers) to sit at the front gate of Museum Village and collect an admission fee of $10 per person (donation toward Wounded Warrior Project). There will be two people at the gate at all times. We need every EMT to work a two hour shift collecting money and then another 15 – 30 minutes accounting for what was collected. Gates open at 10 a.m. Please send me an email letting me know a start time that works best for you. I will do my very best to try and accommodate everyone’s request.

Thanks to all of you for everything you do to make this group a success!

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
