Sterling Lake Loop - DOG SWIM & ICE CREAM

Sterling Lake Loop is a beautiful trail loaded with ticks (bring spray), bears (bring extra snacks) and all types of wildlife including us hikers.  Sterling Lake is a beautiful, pristine body of water suitable for all dogs to swim in - humans not allowed.

Bring snacks to enjoy at the beach while our BFF's swim. 

Ice Cream is for the dogs, not the humans and will be served @ the end of the hike.

Carpool from Chicago Uno's, 20 Centre Dr, Central Valley, NY 10917.  Meet time is 8:45 a.m.   We'll dine @ Chicago Uno's after the hike if anyone is hungry!  Please include in your comments if you want to carpool and if you want to eat @ CU.

Hike: Sterling Lake Loop

Park: Sterling Forrest State Park

Distance: 4+ miles

Level: Moderate

Dogs: Allowed, must be leashed

Meet outside the visitor’s center at 9:30 a.m. sharp!  - Parking is across the street from the center.

CAUTION: Beware of the weekend traffic caused by the Woodbury Commons.   Plan accordingly and don't be late!

Rainy or generally crappy weather will cancel this hike till a later date. Please email me your cell # if I don’t already have it and I'll send you mine. I will not be checking RSVP's in the a.m.

No need to RSVP if you cannot attend.
