Beginners Conditioning Hike

  • May 7, 2014 · 6:00 PM

Join us for a late afternoon beginner's conditioning hike.  We will meet at the dirt area, across the street from California Living Museum on Alfred Harrell Highway at 6pm.  This is a slow paced hike with a few good inclines and an elevation gain of 341'.  We will hike 3-4 miles, depending on how much light we have and the hikers that want to participate. All levels are welcome to participate as our hikers have a varied degree of ability.  We support each other and we always have fun!  Bring water.

Jose is awesome! And you should listen to your body. It's OK to push it, and we will help with that, but only you know your limits. It only gets BETTER from here!

Thanks! I was going to be 10-30 minutes late, so I went home and did yoga. Hopefully I'll be back next Wednesday!

Just look for the cars parked across from CALM, next to the hills. Although we have some advanced hikers, we all have a good time and we make sure everyone completes the hike and gets back to the cars. It will be a warm day, so be sure to dress cool and bring your water bottles.

I really enjoyed Wednesdays beginners hike. I am still too intimidated by the intermediate group. I do not need that speed I really want time on the trail and distance. Maybe someday. I like that the hikes are back at 6pm gives us more time for lightness. It looks like more people like the beginners level.

I'm surprised by the level of growth I've seen since becoming an organizer, it's given me more confidence in my abilities.
