Could someone give me some ideas on what I need to buy as in supplies for a first time hikers and what kind of shoes would be good for a class 1 class 2 hikers thanks and would really appreciate any information

Also, this information can be easily googled instead of asking meetup members to write a book on the subject every time.

FYI, Class 1 means hiking on a trail, and Class 2 means hiking off trail or easy scrambling on rocks. It is the hikes which get the Class rating, not the hikers.
