(PAID CLASS) Wild food foraging with Green Deane

SORRY FOR THE LATE NOTICE!

Special thanks to Freckles for bringing this class to our attention. We seldom promote paid classes on this page, but this instructor has specialized knowledge about edible Florida wild plant life. We would much prefer to offer the class free to the community if anyone is ever interested in stepping up to do so.

It is not a prepper specific gathering and it attracts people desiring to learn for different reasons.

To register: go to http://www.eattheweeds.com to sign up. Registration for Green Deane's class must be done directly through his web page. Please RSVP here to let others from the group know you are attending.

Bring a hat, sun tan lotion, water, a notebook, and please take some pictures for us.

His classes usually last about 4 hours. Park near the science museum.

Please do not post comments below this meet narrative unless they are of immediate relevance to the meet as comments are e-mailed to all members who RSVP. Members who abuse the comments section below the posted meetups are subject to being removed from the group.

Please use the following discussion link to discuss the subject, or with any questions about the meet.

My only gripe with this class is that the guy walks a million miles an hour and moves on very very quickly. I would prefer that he slow down a bit, let people keep up with him and give everyone time to take good notes and pictures. It was also very hard to hear him since he was talking to either the plant or a person very close. Just wish it was all a bit slower, maybe cover less ground but everyone would have a better understanding.

Just a note if you missed it when you pre-registered for this class. He ONLY takes CASH the day of the class and may or may not be able to make change. This class is worth taking a few times a year since it teaches you how to survive on the run with no food with you and limited ability to hunt. Think downed plane in the middle of nowhere and you get the point of this class.
