This is not a region 6 prepper specific event, but it is a great opportunity to research solar options. The event is Friday through Saturday, but the Saturday portion of the event is all that will being put onto our calendar because it is free. However, everyone must register to attend the Saturday portion of the event.

The Go SOLAR Fest is an event highlighting the successes of the Go SOLAR Broward Rooftop Solar Challenge. The Go SOLAR Fest will include:

  • Open forum discussion of solar challenges, solutions, and recommendations to advance solar regionally and statewide
  • Overview of the Go SOLAR Online Permitting System
  • Discussion of potential financing options for the installation
    of rooftop PV solar systems
  • Description of solar rights in Florida and revisions to local zoning
    ordinances amongst partner cities
  • Summary of best practices for interconnection and net metering

glass enclosed skywalks from the parking garage. Disabled parking spaces
are available near the elevators on each level.

    The majority was for whole house systems, 'off the grid' or 'sell back to the grid' systems. I would have loved to see more more smaller emergency set ups that could be in a take-down format. The couple that I did see weren't emphasized. It was like; "Oh, we have those too."
