Brooke Curry at Southminster

With an acoustic guitar in hand and vocal melodies to match, Brooke Curry is a singer songwriter from Dousman, Wisconsin. Her songs tell the stories of her many trials and errors of life, love and lack thereof. Inspiring others through her music is all she has aspired to do, hoping to connect with her listeners on a more personal level. She released her first EP in June of 2011 and is currently in the recording studio working hard on a second. Her sound and lyrics have, much like herself, grown up over the past two years and the upcoming release will showcase this maturity. However, while the EP is in the works, Brooke has dedicated much of her time to open mic nights and small gigs all around South-Eastern Wisconsin - opening for local bands such as The Role Call, The Picture Perfect and Treason This. Playing three or four times a week in coffee shops and smaller venues, Brooke hopes to reach out to an audience who will enjoy her music and have as much fun listening, as she does playing. As one of her many musical inspirations, Ed Sheeran said, "You can't really have a Plan B, you just have to make Plan A work." With her musical career being Plan A, Brooke Curry plans to achieve just that.
