Ross Catterton has been a freelance musician for more than 10 years. He attended Lawrence University in Appleton, WI where he studied saxophone with Steven Jordheim and Tom Washatka and was lead alto in the Jazz Program directed by Fred Sturm. In addition to the saxophone, Ross also plays guitar, piano, drums, and sings. He's played all over the Midwest and in Europe. He's a tremendously versatile musician and currently plays in 5 groups consistently all over the Wisconsin area. His influences are classical, jazz, funk, hip-hop, r&b, alternative, Latin, and pop/rock. He's been recorded on 5 albums and is currently working on composing and recording his 6th. As a composer he's been commissioned by non-profits for special events and marketing materials. His fellow musicians are comprised of Wisconsin's top talent; some of them WAMI award winners, others Grammy Award winners, and others members of Pro Athletic Programs house ensembles. To date, he has been on the bill as an opener for Rusted Root and Ludacris.
