Due to demand - a third visit has been scheduled.
A wondrous place indeed. Riparian habitat, filled with birds (local such as owls, hawks, eagles, both bald and golden, plus the spring migratory flocks), coyote, fox, deer, potential for bison. We'll capture sunrise as it comes across the plains and lights the face of the front range, then turn our attention to the details of the creatures coming to life around us.
Sunrise is at 6:14. Arsenal opens at 6. We will miss sunrise. BUT - we will leave the visitor center promptly at 6:05 am to get positioned for the remaining soft light of spring (actual location TBD).
Be prepared for the outdoors; there may be hiking involved - it's not hard, little/no elevation gain, but may be wet. Potential shooting includes sunrise, reflections, birds (bring out those long, fast lenses if you own them!); intimate landscapes, large mammals. We'll see what presents itself for the day.
Please note: Limited group size, RSVP will be enforced. If you cannot attend, please cancel so others might enjoy this beautiful location. Because of the limited group size, no visitors, please; members only.
Cost of entry: FREE
If you have RSVPed for the 4/7 or mid-May date, please leave this date open for others.
More details to follow.
ADMINISTRATIVE NOTE: If you've been a 'no show' for one of our limited attendance events (such as Tools and Techniques, classroom events, etc), you may be restricted from future limited attendance events.
