***Update: We are going to be at Pelican's Peak inside the park. After you get past the guard house at the entrance, turn right heading towards the visitor center. Go past the visitor center and Soda Lake until the road ends at a "T" intersection, turn left onto W. Hampden Ave., follow that almost all the way to the end and you'll see a parking lot on the left with shelters. Be there at 8:30 to sign the waivers and we'll start shooting as soon as everyone has signed a waiver. Just to let everyone know, Kin likes to fly the birds in cooler temps so he pushes to get started as soon as possible. The noon time frame includes Hawk Quest selling T-shirts and other items to make money for their non-profit organization. Their shirts and hoodies are pretty cool and they take credit cards.
An exclusive private showing and flight from Hawk Quest of six raptors. Five birds of prey will be set up in separate natural settings for portraits. The last portion of the shoot, the sixth bird will be flown across a field multiple times so that we can get in flight photos. The meetup will be at Bear Creek Lake Park, off Morrison Rd. We'll meet at 8:30 a.m. to sign the Hawk Quest waivers and start shooting at 9 a.m. until 12:00 p.m.
This will be limited to 20 photographers and there is a $50 fee per photographer to cover the private showing (due April 11th). Also, Bear Creek Lake Park has an entrance fee per car. We can meet up prior and carpool to save everyone paying an entrance fee.
In talking with Bob about the meetup, it was decided payment will be made in advance and if you need to cancel you'll need to be reimbursed from the next person on the wait list. If you cancel the day of the meetup date, your fee will be forfeited.
