Denver Auto Show

http://www.paragonexpo.com/index.php/DE-General/

Is video and photo equipment permitted on the Show floor?

Yes! We encourage you to take photos and videos at the Show. Photography equipment, including tripods, is welcome. Of course, we ask that you do your best not to interfere with anyone else’s enjoyment of the Show while you line up that perfect shot. So the lighting tent would be best left at home. Note: As a public event, media, patrons and the public itself will be taking photos and video. By purchasing a ticket, you are granting permission for your likeness to be used in Show representation.

It's the perfect place to browse hundreds of the year's new vehicles!

Located at the Colorado Convention Center, the Denver Auto Show is the premier showcase of the newest model year import and domestic vehicles -- cars, vans, crossovers, hybrids, light trucks and sport utilities. You'll not only see all the newest models, you'll also be treated to sneak peeks of selected intros, concepts, and the latest in tricked out cars! It's the perfect place to see the latest examples of fuel efficient technologies and aftermarket accessories. Factory representatives from the car lines are on hand to answer your questions in a no pressure environment at the Show. There are cars to suit every budget and life style at the Auto Show. With the car lines all under one roof, it's easy to compare prices and features, saving both time and money. So come sit in the cars, pop the hoods, inspect the trunks, kick the tires. The Denver Auto Show is great entertainment for serious shoppers, car buffs and the entire family!

I'd rate this 5 stars if there weren't so many PEOPLE....The morning was pretty good, but it got WAY busy after 1pm.

Good call Eddie, I just purchased mine online. I both printed it and saved a PDF in my Dropbox so I could pull it up on my phone, JUST IN CASE.

FYI The e-ticket window is not near the ticket booths. It's on the opposite wall by itself.

I was at the conference center today for another conference, parking around the center is going between $15-25.

I'll be using RTD from Broadway - $4.50 round trip.

I went to the show today. Parking isn't an issue if you don't mind walking 3 blocks. There are 5 lots at the corner of Tremont and 14th. Prices range from 10-12 dollars. There were spaces when I got there at 9:30 and when I left at 3:00. And all parking meters downtown are free on Sunday.

A couple of observations about photography.
The ceiling lights are really reflective on the cars. They make the cars look like disco mirror balls. A polarizing filter didn't help much. My best strategy was to use flash. It tends to cancel out some of the reflection especially for closeups. On the fun side, Jeep has an obstacle course you can ride as a passenger in on one of their Jeep models. It was a lot of fun, no hassle and you get a free lanyard and cloth bag when you finish.

    Enjoy the show.

Eddie, thanks for the reconnaissance report. I'm thinking I'm going to take the light rail downtown and now I WILL bring a flash along. Appreciate it.

One added thought. There was a long, long line at the opening to buy tickets. Buy if you had an e-ticket (purchased online) there was a special window for that with no line.

I hate to back out on this event, but I can already tell you that I am so utterly exhausted that there is no way I will be able to attend, let alone host this. I do hope you can meetup with each other and find a shooting partner to go around with. Please leave comments on here to better gauge when everyone is going to be there, and where.

Bob, it states in the link you've posted that the $20 value pack is valid only for Wed, Thurs. and Friday.
Is that still true or they could be used on Sunday too?

    • Bob S.

Heavens, I don't know. I'll have to have a look.
