The hike is usually about 4.9 miles, and on previous new year's eve hikes,we have gotten back to our cars right before midnight, and toast the new year together and go home shortly after. Hope to see you there! Joe

Would love to do this but need more info. How long is the hike and what time do you think we'll get back? Awesome idea. Thanks for organizing this.

    A moonlit hike?

You probably won't get a lot of moonlight this New Years eve, so it would be best to bring a headlamp or flashlight: http://www.moonconnec...

It's my first time for a hike. What I need to take with me. I am so excited to go. And meet new people.

I would recommend a headlamp or flashlight, some water or gatorade, and bug spray (probably not needed, but just in case). Other than that wear sensible footwear - trail running shoes or sneakers are fine, high heels or dress shoes would be bad.

I'm excited. This is the best way for my cousin fr OH and I to spend a New Years. Cheers to all of us!
