SPANGLISH is a Spanish/English language exchange event taking place in bars in the heart of London. It will take place soon in Bogotá, Colombia as well. Participants come to practice a foreign language at the same time they make new friends in a warm, themed and friendly environment.
How does it work?
The event last two hours, during the first hour participants take part in a series of 1-to-1 conversations which last 12 min each: 6min in Spanish, then 6min in English before participants switch table and meet a new partner. The second hour participants are free to stay and hang around to chat to each other in the language that they feel most comfortable speaking.
How do I register?
To attend one of our sessions you must register in advance. The events are published on meet up and on facebook at least two weeks ahead. Once the event is published you can register following the instructions in the published link. It is often possible to register at the last minute. However, there is limited number of participants per session so we advice you to register allowing some time previous the event. If you cannot attend and you have registered, you must reschedule your session at least 24 hours before.
SPANGLISH can be the best lesson you would receive in a new language. It is a social event where you learn or improve a foreign language while discovering a number of Hispanic and English cultures in addition to meeting people. Participants will meet a handful of native speakers during the event!
Why should I come?
- The events are organised for all language levels so great if you are starting, intermediate or advance level, there will always be something for you!
- The sessions are organised and dynamic. You will not have to pay any membership or commit to a number of sessions.
- You are free to choose what you talk about. Therefore, it will be up to you what you get out of each conversation.
Different social events?
Of course!! Because we believe that you love languages as much as we do but find it tedious to learn them in the traditional ways, we will be motivating you to join our language exchange social activities to improve your language level. The format of each of the social activities will be published in more detail in the meet up event and you will be get more and more familiar with them after a couple of sessions with us.

SPANGLISH es un evento de intercambio de lenguajes que se realiza en bares en el centro de Londres. Muy pronto los estaremos realizando en Bogotá, Colombia también. Los participantes vienen a practicar un lenguaje extranjero al mismo tiempo que hacen nuevos amigos en un ambiente calido, temático y amigable.
Cómo funciona?
El evento dura dos horas, durante la primera hora los participantes toman parte en una serie de conversaciones uno a uno que duran en total 12 minutos: 6 minutes en Español y después 6 minutos en Inglés luego los participantes cambian de mesa y conocen a un nuevo compañero. En la segunda hora los participantes son libres de estar por un rato más para hablar los unos con los otros en el lenguaje que se sienten más cómodos hablando.
Cómo me registro?
Para asistir a una de nuestras sesiones te debes registra con anticipación. Los eventos se publican en Meet up y Facebook con al menos dos semanas de antelación. Una vez publicado, te debes registrar siguiendo las instrucciones dadas en el link. Generalmente es posible registrar hasta el último minuto. Sin embargo debido al número limitado de participantes te aconsejamos hacerlo con antelación. Si no puedes atender el evento y te has registrado debes cancelarlo al menos 24 horas antes.
SPANGLISH puede ser la mejor lección que recibirías en un leguaje extranjero. Es un evento social en donde tú aprendes o mejoras un lenguaje extranjero al mismo tiempo que descubres otras culturas Hispanas e Inglesas y además conoces personas. Los participantes conocerán un buen número de hablantes nativos durante el evento.
Porque Ir?
• Los eventos son organizados para todos los niveles de lenguaje, entonces es grandioso si esas empezando, tienes nivel intermedio o avanzado, siempre encontraras algo para ti!
• Las sesiones son económicas y dinámicas. No tienes que pagar ninguna membresía y ni comprometerte con un número de eventos.
• Tú eres libre de escoger el tema del que quieres hablar. Por consiguiente tú escoges el fruto de tu participación.
Otros eventos sociales?
Por supuesto!! Porque creemos que te gustan los idiomas tanto como a nosotros, pero encuentras tedioso estudiarlos usando los métodos tradicionales, te invitaremos a participar en nuestras actividades sociales de intercambio de lenguajes. El formato de cada actividad será publicado cuando el evento es creado en meet up y te familiarizarás con ellos en la medida que atiendas regularmente nuestras actividades.

SPANGLISH.COL MAKES NO REPRESENTATIONS OR WARRANTIES AS TO THE CONDUCT OF MEMBERS OR THEIR COMPATIBILITY WITH ANY CURRENT OR FUTURE MEMBERS. SPANGLISH.COL RESERVES THE RIGHT TO CONDUCT ANY CRIMINAL BACKGROUND CHECK OR OTHER SCREENINGS, AT ANY TIME AND USING AVAILABLE PUBLIC RECORDS.

USTED SE COMPROMETE A ACTUAR CON PRECAUCIÓN RAZONABLE EN TODA INTERACCIÓN CON OTROS SPANGLISH AFILIADOS DEL SERVICIO, ESPECIALMENTE SI DECIDE CONOCERLOS FUERA DE LÍNEA O EN PERSONA. RECONOCE QUE SPANGLISH.COL NO OFRECE GARANTÍA ALGUNA, NI EXPRESA NI IMPLÍCITA, SOBRE SU COMPATIBILIDAD O SEGURIDAD CON LAS PERSONAS QUE CONOZCA A TRAVÉS DEL SERVICIO. NO DEBE FACILITAR INFORMACIÓN FINANCIERA (POR EJEMPLO, INFORMACIÓN SOBRE SU TARJETA DE CRÉDITO O CUENTAS BANCARIAS) A OTROS SPANGLISH AFILIADOS.

CON HACERSE MIEMBRO DE SPANGLISH.COL USTED ESTA DE ACUERDO A ASUMIR TODO RIESGO ENVUELTO CON SU PARTICIPACION EN EL GRUPO DE MEETUP SPANGLISH.COL Y SPANGLISH.COL EVENTOS Y USTED ESTA DE ACUERDO A LIBERAR LOS ORGANIZADORES DE SPANGLISH.COL Y SUS CREADORES O ANFITRIONES Y SUS DISEÑADORES DE RECLAMOS, DEMANDAS, Y DAÑOS (ACTUAL Y CONSECUENTE) DE TODA CLASE Y NATURALEZA, CONOCIDA O DESCONOCIDA, SOSPECHADA O NO SOSPECHADA, REVELADOS O NO REVELADOS, AHORA Y EN UN FUTURO, QUE SURJAN FUERA O EN CUALQUIER FORMA CONECTADOS CON SU USO DEL GRUPO SPANGLISH.COL Y SU ASISTENCIA A LAS REUNIONES PERSONALES DE SPANGLISH.COL.
