Spanglish Tertulia (Holiday edition) at Rose and Crown

Feeling like taking a break from the holiday shopping rush? Bring your favourite XMas story/item/clothing or just join us for conversation and food among friends - Spanglish-style!

Spanglish meetups are meant to practise conversation in both Spanish and English in a relaxed and fun atmosphere, with occasional activities around learning the language. So be sure to bring a notebook and pen to jot down tips and advice from our friendly native speakers. And if you're just starting out or haven't used the language for a while, feel free to come just to hang out and listen. You'll be glad you did!

There is no cost to join us at our meetings. We only ask that you support our venues having a meal or beverage, and come ready to meet - with your friendliness and enthusiasm. :)

Final note - our goal is to speak as much Spanish and English as we can. If you chat with a native speaker from the other language, be sure to offer to switch languages and practise both English and Spanish. Some people are shy about asking to practice in their second language, and our meetings are meant to practise both languages.

See you Saturday!

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
