sheesh.......i didnt even know of ebikes in 2007.......wish i had but how did anyone know? Were ANY sold here at that time?

H Fred. Just so you are aware, the Toronto Motor Scooter Club is for gasoline powered scooters and is not an e-bike club. While you're more than welcome to participate, and we have some members who used to have e-bikes, I don't want you to get the wrong initial impression of TMSC.

Sorry..that was a typo. It should have said 14AH..and the 4 cells are wired in series. I will post in "Where to buy" and thanks for the suggestion.

Hi Fred, Thanks from both Annette and me for the intro. Thought this was a good time to join as we are having some battery problems. The problem is due to one bad cell. Do you know where 12v 4ah cells can be purchased in the GTA for a reasonable price? Seems that battery problems are the biggest single issue for eBikes. We have been plagued with this since 2007 when our Veloteq was first purchased.

Hi, Fred! I did the preliminary tests for your battery yesterday. All 4 cells yield about 50 minutes +-5 on the 12A load, which is half of what I usually see testing new cells, so yours are at 50% of capacity. Now I'm trying to desulphate them. Next week I'll see first results and what is the trend...
