Thanks for joining the Speak Up New York Working Group. Our next meeting is this Monday, July 26th. Please RSVP if you haven’t already.
This will be a working meeting focused on identifying the tools that community groups currently use to organize and how we can make sure that the best of these tools are easily accessible for all groups.
First, we'll begin with a discussion of our short and long-term goals. Then we'll quickly move into three breakout sessions focused on:
1. Mapping out the communication tools that community groups are using today (click here)
2. Creating a “how to guide” for starting a community group (click here)
3. Creating a Public Registry of Community Organizations (click here)
After the breakout sessions we'll report back to the larger group and identify our next steps.
Our goal is to leave this meeting with some tangible items that we can start to share with other community and civic groups.
Lastly, I'd like to share a great article about Speak Up New York that was recently published in DNA info: (click here)
Feel free to contact me if you have any questions.
Hope to see you on the 26th!

Hi,
I may not be able to attend this meeting but Mitch Glenn will represent CB12M. Mitch is the technology director for JCC Manhattan and leading the Web design team for CB12M.
Pam
Unfortunately I won't be able to make this meetup but I am working on an almost identical project in nearby New Haven, CT. This is an exciting time to be a civic hacker! More on what we're doing here: http://bit.ly/apfo1i![]()
My RSVP is a little late, but I'll be there tonight!
Log in to Meetup with your Facebook account.
Sorry I can't make it, but will try to find someone to represent CB2.
