First Free Improv Class!

Be a part of Speakeasy Improv Classes' first free class. We're meeting up at the end of January at the Big Studio at Sanctuary: Playwrights Theatre in Astoria. The first class will focus on feeling loose and being confident with being silly—probably the most important building block of improv. See you then!

maybe i am stupid and just am not seeing it here, but...how long is the class? 2 or 3 hrs?

We have the space reserved for three hours, although the class itself will run a little bit shorter than that (We're leaving room for Q&A and general socializing at the end).

Looking forward to seeing everyone this Saturday! Now keep in mind this is a structured class, so I do ask that you show up as promptly as possible at 3. I'll try to accommodate as many people as I can, and hopefully everyone will get a chance to play.

Hi Michael! Will there be a charge for future classes and if so, how much will they run? Thanks.

Hello Theresa! We have plans for all sorts of future classes, but we'll always be running free ones!

Thank you, who is the teacher?

    January 5, 2014

Hi Kathryn! The first class will be taught by yours truly. I'm an improvisor and coach with 15 years of performance experience. I've trained with the UCB, Magnet, and Second City. I'd love to answer any questions you have.

Thank you. It sounds great. Unfortunately I won't be able to make it to this class as I'm in 2 other classes right now at Annoyance and Krompf. I'm interested in staying in the loop for possible other classes. Thanks for offering classes in improv!

FYI, the theater is a short walk from either 21st St/Queensbridge on the F or 39th Ave on the N.

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
