Special Parents are designed to help parents of ages 0-5 connect face-to-face with one another to share their stories, their trials and their wins raising a special child with developmental delay.  This group was organized by a mom/speech-language pathologist whose experiences had been with children and early intervention.  This is a meetup group to coordinate playdates for parents as a means to connect , share community resources with one another, allow socialization and interaction in group settings around the community, and most importantly show positive support for one another. All parents and caregivers with children of disability or delay are encouraged to join.  Special parents is about building lasting connections and relating to each other in play-based  interactive activities together--exploring sensory, motor, and other developmentally appropriate activities in the community.  Get ready to have fun, understand each other and grow together!
