Special Kids Special Needs--Long Island Parent Group

Are you the parent of a child with special needs? A child with a diagnosis on the autistic spectrum, ADHD, or general developmental delays. Most often recommended therapies, programs, and biomedical treatments are the same for these children. So, let’s chat about it…learn from each other and the professionals that we have entrusted with our most precious gift. Have you had a success story that you have wanted to share with everyone? Do you want to hear other success stories that can help your child grow? Is there a professional you want to hear from or a new treatment/therapy you’re dieing to try? Well then…this is the group for you! So please, come join us. The more we share the more we can help our children!

To make the most of our meetups…we will be deciding on topics prior to our gatherings. Following each meetup materials will be distributed highlighting our learnings. We will also agree on the next sessions topics, in hopes that we can have professionals attend from time to time to increase our knowledge. At this time, there are no dues to join this group however if there is a professional the members would like to hear from, there may be a cost associated with their appearance. But that decision is up to you! Because this group is new…the first meet-up will not take place until the end of April. This will allow enough time to generate awareness, topics, and meeting location. I truly hope you come and share, knowledge is power and we can use that power to help our children!

Please Note: Meetups will occur both during school hours and after work in hopes to accommodate as many people as possible
