Hello and Welcome!
Spirit in the City is a fortnightly meet-up of like-minded people interested in learning more about themselves and each other and is hosted in the Lantern Centre, Dublin 8.
The evening covers such topics as Spirituality, Shamanism, Transpersonal Psychology, Mindfulness meditation, Dreams, Mythology, Consciousness, Personal Growth as well as looking at the life and work of such people as Carl Jung, Joseph Campbell and Ram Dass among others.
Often participants will be invited on an experiential exploration of meditation, visualisation, active imagination, hemi-sync guided imagery or a shamanic drumming journey as well.
The doors open at 7pm and there is tea and biscuits until kick off at 7.30 where we start with a meditation or journey led by the sound of the drum.
From 8-9 we will have the talk followed by tea/coffee and cakes after which we have a led discussion and Q&A session.
Spirit in the City is facilitated by Martin Duffy and various guest speakers. Martin has worked as a mental health care professional since 1977 and is an accredited Jungian psychotherapist. He has trained in various forms of consciousness raising methods including Holotropic Breathwork ™, Dreamwork, Trance dancing and Firewalking.
We look forward to welcoming you to the night and if you have any questions get in touch!
