Beginners Kayaking Roll Class at Swimming Pool

I've obtained permission to use a friends pool in Santa Rosa for a kayak rolling clinic. This is a great introduction to kayaking. You will learn how to "wet exit," how to "hip snap" and work on learning an Eskimo Roll. It's hard to get use of a pool to do roll clinics, so if you have any interest in kayaking, try to come to this event.

If you have a scuba mask, please bring it. You will be able to see better what you are doing underwater. In addition, if you can come up with some nose plugs to keep water out of your snozolla, you will be much happier.

We expect to be at the pool for a couple hours. Feel free to leave when you've absorbed enough.

There is some homework. Watch these YouTube videos and see how much you can learn in advance.

Sorry guys! I don't think I can make it tomorrow. I have take care of a traffic ticket tomorrow morning and might not be out in time to join you. I'll text Don and David if I get out early enough that I might be able to make it.

Carla, I am about to post a kayak trip for Sunday afternoon. I am waiting to find out the cost of rental kayaks from River's Edge.

Thanks David. I can't make it this Sunday as I already have plans but would totally be up for the following weekend or the weekend.

I would like to attend, but not sure enough yet to say definite! I do need the training, as what i learned ten years ago is fuzzy and don't think i can actually do the maneuver now!

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
