Introduction

Hello, I'm Tara (Basya) and I started this meetup because I don't really meet fellow singles that share my love for the spiritual side of Judaism. I think we can learn so much by sharing our "soul journeys" with others.

What do you hope to get from this meetup?

To meet others, especially singles. I'm hoping to hear about different opportunities for learning and/or interesting places to daven. I also have recently become interested in contemplative meditation and energy healing, and am interested in finding other Jews that might also have these interests. Lastly, I enjoy hearing live "Jewish" music and would be interested in meeting others to attend those type of performances/shows.

What Jewish spiritual practices are most meaningful to you?

hitbodedut, attending shiurim, Pesach, Talmud Torah (esp Midrash), candle-lighting

Do you identify with a particular movement or group within Judaism?

I've always been a seeker. I find beauty and spirituality in many different manifestations of Judaism.
