Romeos (2011) Germany

This honest and touching film portrays the pain, frustration and joy of the 20-year-old Lukas, who is transitioning from female to male, and reveals the complexities of gender and sexuality in "a story that's really about all of us." (94 minutes)

This film presented as part of SFCC's 9th Annual International Film Series, showing five films from around the world over the next five weeks at The Garland Theatre. All films subtitled. Admission free for CCS students/employees, all others $4.50.

More information about this annual event (including film lists from previous years) can be found on SFCC's web pages here:

You can invite friends that are not in our movie meet-up group via Facebook at!/events/[masked]/?ref_newsfeed_story_type=regular

Hope to see you there!

PS Whenever available, SFCC purchases a DVD copy of the films for our library, accessible to non-students through a community library card.

Very good examination of the gay and lesbian culture among the young people of Germany.

I arrived after the film had started and was unable to connect with the group, but enjoyed the Romeos very much. It was honest and touching and thankfully had a happy ending. Also had a good amount of opportunities to laugh.

Oh good, Kathy, I'm glad you made it and enjoyed the film! In case you come next week, we have been gathering (before/after the films) in the lobby by the bench and getting drinks at Bon Bon

Anyone want to carpool? I live in Valleyford so if you live on south hill or Spokane Valley I can meet you at your house.

Hi Kathy - sorry you didn't get anyone to take you up on your offer! My schedule is just too unpredictable mid-week, otherwise I would have been happy for the company.

Hey, sorry to back out at the last minute. I started to strip by deck at 10:00AM and well, ah, really, seriously, I'm still working on it. I could really use a beer right now.

      We're sorry we couldn't bring you a beer. :)
Hope you made good progress on the deck!
