Roots Movie Night
Showing
Tim Burton's The Nightmare Before Christmas

Date: November 23, 2012
Time: 6:00 PM
Location: 327 N. Stanley Street, Medical Lake, WA
Cost: $1.00 for the popcorn

Get out of the Black Friday rat race to enjoy a night of laughs with your friends while watching Jack Skellington, the Pumpkin King of Halloween Town, who tries to get the resident bats, ghouls, and goblins to help him put on Christmas instead of Halloween -- but alas, they can't get it quite right because they fail to grasp his meaning and compare everything he says to their idea of Halloween. Jack's obsession with Christmas leads him to usurp the role of Santa Claus while Lock, Shock and Barrel, a trio of mischievous children, to abduct Santa and deliver him to Oogie Boogie, a gambling-addict bogeyman who plots to play a game with Santa's life at stake. While Jack uses his coffin-like sleigh pulled by skeletal reindeer to deliver presents of shrunken heads and Christmas tree-eating snakes Sally, a rag doll woman who is created by the Halloween Town's mad scientist, attempts to free Santa. The movie stars Danny Elfman as the singing voice of Jack, Chris Sarandon is Jack's speaking voice and Catherine O'Hara as Sally. This is a hilarious movie with tons of laughs and will be a lot more fun than living a nightmare trying to elbow your way through crowds of people clawing at merchandise on store shelves.

Watching the movie is FREE for everyone. ALL YOU CAN EAT Popcorn will be $1.00 for non ROOTS members. Transportation for those needing assistance getting to or from the movie will be leaving from the STA Plaza at 5:30 PM. Seating is limited to twelve (12) so RSVP early.
